Understanding the use of shapes

There is a strange need to cover up the history of the native people of North America. Nothing to see here it didn't happen, nobody did anything till WE got here.
This sometimes results in people using the analogy of seeing what you want to see, like sitting and looking at clouds and seeing shapes in them. This is often meant to discredit sites but in ironic fact it proves often that these sites are real.

We have the audacity sometimes in our society to assume we are the first to see things on the land. "Hey that rock looks like..."
You actually believe if we see it people who came before us did not? Often in the past these now secluded areas were walked on by the people and very little was there to find one's way. They were far deeply attuned to the natural and man made signs that pointed you in the right direction.
And they didn't always have to be altered by man to be used. In fact they were probably leery of marking anything least they give away the location. Tribal warfare was regular, you didn't give away you location.
So like looking at clouds we can see similar shapes in all kinds of things. That stone, you know the one looks like a turtle? Yeah, we'll meet there. If your unable to discern the shape of a turtle in a rock then you will not meet...

The lives of our forefathers was lived in the natural surroundings. Nothing remains of the portage into Penetang from Nottawasaga Bay but at one time the early settlers and even the military used it to travel to Penetang.

Marker trees were used, if a trail was to be used for generations. These trees as illustrated her were bent to make a distinctive form and therefore could be used to show the way.
Using stones were also a method to mark trails. Standing stones on their length unnaturally could define the path to your destination. Piling stones on top of other stones could also be a way. Why don't we know about these trails? Well we haven't looked. I have looked and you would be surprised at how many areas have these stones still sitting waiting to point you in the right direction, if you know how to read them. But also these signs were destroyed. There is an old french map that says just that, here there was stones to mark the way but were blown up.
So how do you read them? Well, we were never meant to know, each village had their own and it was a guarded secret often as intertribal warfare was something people were trying to avoid. So often these signs are there but do not have the key to solve them.

In the north we know of trails being marked by rock piles known as inukshuks. These would guide people through many kilometers of travel.
Stone cairns are also all over North America, even simple stones on a big rock like pictured here are a sign of something. There is no natural explanation for these but they are everywhere. But even if there are naturally occurring, you can bet they were used to find ones way. Did they represent something spiritual, yeah probably. But also to keep one from being lost or to find some resource that is needed. Ironically it could even mean there was the right type of rock in that area.
Stone walls big and small are found throughout the continent. These were probably a different use primarily, perhaps ceremonial but also undoubtedly a landmark for travellers.
Now interestingly these walls would not only find your way somewhere, but would also direct things to you. The wendat were known to use fencing to direct game to waiting hunters. It would obstruct the path of the game and so the game would follow it, trying to continue on it's way. This brought them to you, and instead of travelling to find them, you now know where they would be. So once again we go back to seeing shapes in things. Go to the turtle shape, go to the serpent etc
In the same way weirs were used to collect fish during seasonal migrations. These weirs were often marked by stone constructions on shore.
We mark everything with written words, we are programmed to do that, but there was no written language as such and even if there was, was it wise to mark so obviously your location or certain resources. So what they used was subtle clues as to where to look.
So you doubt they're real? Of course you do, you have been conditioned to doubt the history of this country, but in a land without roads and people constantly harassed by rivals, how do you think they did it. Many will think they need you to prove that it existed, they however argue from a vacuum. They believe in nothing and argue from that point, but the people of this country did amazing things, so something so mundane as this was happening all the time.
People travelled far and wide across this continent, they left marks on the land, are all unusual trees and stones markers, well no, but for more are than we accept to be.
